| Naked man pulled from gator-infested pond - again |

Adrian Apgar POLK COUNTY -- The discovery of an unoccupied pickup truck in Saddle Creek Park Thursday night led deputies to a naked man walking toward an alligator 50 feet from shore.

The officers were able to talk 45-year-old Adrian Apgar of Polk City out of the water and he was taken into custody without incident. He told them he'd been bitten by a snake while looking for an alligator.
It wasn't the first time Apgar had done something like this.
In late 2006, Apgar, who was naked at that time as well, was rescued by deputies from the jaws of an alligator at Lake Parker county park.
Deputies arrived to hear Apgar, who was reportedly high on crack, yelling for help, and that he was being attacked.
Officers waded 40 feet from shore through thick muck and rescued a critically injured Apgar.
He suffered a broken right arm, a partially amputated left arm, and major trauma to his left leg in the gator attack.
Sheriff Grady Judd said, "Our deputies have been placed in danger twice as a result of this man's actions."
Apgar was Baker Acted and taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
The investigation continues with charges pending against Apgar. Copyright 2008 The E.W. Scripps Co. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

| WHy Men Don't Listen |
[09 Dec 2005|10:16am] |
(CBS 3) PHILADELPHIA It’s an age old complaint from women: Men don’t listen.
New studies on the brain back up these assertions. But, they also say there is a good reason why men tune their out their wives and girlfriends.
Researches have found that men may have a harder time figuring out what a woman is saying. This came after volunteers underwent MRI scans to monitor brain activity.
The study found that men listen primarily with the left side of their brain, where women listen with both sides of the brain.
The right side of the brain attaches sentimental and emotional meaning to words. That could be what helps women listen a little better, and a reason why men often tune out, researchers said. The scans also show men have an easier time listening to other men, as opposed to women.
“Men’s voices are a little bit simpler to perceive than women’s voices,” said Dr. Bruce Rubin, one of the researchers.

... my stomach is like tetris.
its like every bite of food i eat is a block in the game. i consume, it falls down. my stomach rotates the blocks, but sometimes unsuccessfully. as everyone knows, in tetris, if you screw up and the blocks fill up the screen, you lose; but in my stomach, i barf! this is making more sense isnt it ? and the blowing up of the rows simulate burping. Paul Thurrott InstantDoc #23993 John Savill's FAQ for Windows IT Jobs at Dice
A. If you've recently upgraded to Windows XP and want to use the cool Album Art feature--which replaces the folder for each audio CD you record with a copy of that CD's album art--for your existing audio collection, you're in luck. Microsoft has recently made available a free XP add-on that adds this capability, among other things. The add- on is called the Windows Media Bonus Pack for Windows XP, and the tool you want is called the Media Library Management Wizard. When you launch this wizard and point it at your music library (typically the My Music folder), it gives you two options: clean up the media library or add new files. When you choose the clean-up option, Download album art is a subsequent option. Choose this option, and the system will add album art for all WMA-based CD rips. What about MP3 files? You can use a tool such as Plus! MP3 Audio Converter LE, also part of the free Bonus Pack, to convert MP3 files to WMA before you get the album art. For more information and the free download, visit the Microsoft Web site.

I use an application called Album Cover Locator, works really well. You can find it at www.FlatIronSoftware.com gmikinnly - June 07, 2004
Why was there no mention of Mac users? Not everyone on the planet is satisfied with the regular bore of a windows OS. Article was absolutely no use to me whatsoever. Don't be bias. Please. John Lonergan - June 16, 2004
Dude, this website is called windowsitpro.com! Why would you think it would talk about Mac's? I'm not trying to be biased, but sheesh... really. Anonymous User - April 07, 2005 ------------------------- See More Comments

Im in love with the sweetest, sexiest, most intelligent girl I have ever layed my eyes on, and to top that off she is so shockingly gorgeous [to a point a still cannot get over]. Although I don't understand how I finally won her over or if it was pure luck that i know i cannot take for granted, I am the happiest I have ever been with her.
LeeAnn, you are nothing less than perfect in any way, especially for me, darling. I love you, endlessly.

There's something about the look in your eyes Something I noticed when the light was just right It reminded me twice that I was alive And it reminded me that you're so worth the fight My biggest fear will be the rescue of me Strange how it turns out that way Could you show me dear Something I've not seen Something infinitely interesting Could you show me dear Something I've not seen Something infinitely interesting There's something about the way you move I see your mouth in slow motion when you sing More subtle than something someone contrives Your movements echo that I have seen the real thing Your biggest fear will be the rescue of you Strange how it turns out that way Could you show me dear Something I've not seen Something infinitely interesting

Edward VII, King of England.
Dear King Edward,
I am truly interested in the structure of the atom which we have a widely accepted model for, the Plum Pudding model as you may know it. This model shows electrons, the negatively charges particles in an atom, surrounded by a positive charge. I am writing to you for the chance to either prove this correct or completely oppose it.
The structure of the atom is rather important to the advances we are making in the many fields of Chemistry during this time, and I feel I am more than qualified to take on the responsibility of finding the true structure. As you will see in my accompanying resume, I have been studying and learning since I was a young boy.
By shooting a ray of positively charged alpha particles at a thin sheet of gold foil, I intend to determine the structure of the atom by observing the scattering patterns. If the plum pudding model is correct, almost every particle with a few exceptions should bounce off of the foil [positive vs. positive = deflection]. I will have sheets of Zink Sulfide set up inside of the cloud chamber to detect the deflected particles.
Though this experiment seems quite simple, it involves much equipment and preparation and this letter to you is a request for funding. I would not attempt this experiment if i did not think it would prove something monumental, and with the proper funding I may be able to change the course of Scientific advancement.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and if you have any questions about what I am doing or trying to prove please contact me.
Sincerely,
Ernest Rutherford
